What Is a Funktion-One Dance Stack?

A Funktion-One Dance Stack is a horn-loaded sound-system format designed around high-efficiency loudspeaker components and a visually recognizable modular stack. The name is often used loosely online, so it helps to separate the genuine equipment from the production plan required to use it well.

The physical system

A Dance Stack configuration can combine DS210 and DS15 loudspeakers with F218 bass and F218 Infrabass enclosures. Exact quantities and placement vary. Violet Vibration owns two DS210, two DS15, four F218 Mk2, two F218 Infrabass, and supporting F88 monitors.

Processing and amplification

The loudspeakers depend on correctly configured processing, amplification, cabling, polarity, gain structure, and limiting. Violet Vibration uses XTA DP226 processing and MC2 amplification in the owned system. The electronics are part of the system, not an invisible afterthought.

Why the room still matters

A respected loudspeaker cannot repeal acoustics. Boundary interaction, floor and wall reflections, listening distance, coverage, audience absorption, stage position, and noise constraints can improve or compromise the experience. A site-aware design matters more than a generic capacity claim.
